With Satan now presiding over a one-world system of false worship, God’s faithful people will come under the increased persecution as they boldly resist the union of church and state and declare that the reigning “Christ” is, in fact, the devil personating Christ.

Finally, the false Christ will command and demand an extermination program to rid the world of those who are living and speaking in defiance against the system of illegitimate law and order.

“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” Revelation 13:15

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.” Matthew 24: 9,10

“They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.” John 16: 2,3

“As the Sabbath has become the special point of controversy throughout Christendom, and religious and secular authorities have combined to enforce the observance of the Sunday, the persistent refusal of a small minority to yield to the popular demand will make them objects of universal execration.

It will be urged that the few who stand in opposition to an institution of the church and a law of the state ought not to be tolerated; that it is better for them to suffer than for the whole nations to be thrown into confusion and lawlessness. The same argument two thousand years ago was brought against Christ by the rulers of the people.

This argument will appear conclusive; a decree will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, denouncing them as deserving of the severest punishment and giving the people liberty, after a certain time, to put them to death.

The Final Events will end with the splendor of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ also known as the Parousia. The Signs of Parousia are detailed in the Final Events series and emphasize the Imminent Return and Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the prophet as the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Jacob’s night of anguish, when he wrestled in prayer for deliverance from the hand of Esau (Genesis 32: 24-30) represents the experience of God’s people in the time of trouble.

Jacob claims his unworthiness, and he has the assurance of one who confesses his weakness and unworthiness and trusts in the mercy of a covenant keeping God.” GC 616

We can all fasten our trembling hands upon the promises of the covenant-keeping God, and the heart of the of infinite love.

God will not turn away, like with Jacob, from the sinner’s plea.
