As the loud cry and the latter rain exert their influence, the followers of Jesus become more and more deeply settled into the truth about God’s good character of love.
They become immovable, with intelligent loyalty and trust toward God.
As a result, they become impenetrable to Satan’s deceptions.
They are forever “sealed” in their “foreheads”- the frontal lobe (pre-frontal cortex not the amygdala) region where truth is assessed, and decisions are made -so that they will forever live with love for God and one another.
The sealing of God’s people in their foreheads ensures that the universe will never again be afflicted with sin and suffering, not because they cannot sin because they will not sin.
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” Revelation 7:1-4

And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
“Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot sweep it away.

all the wealth of one’s house for love,

“In order to endure the trial before them, all must understand the will of God as revealed in His word; all can honor Him only as they have a right conception of His character, government, and purposes, and act in accordance with them. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict… The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God’s immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?” GC 593
