The true beauty of God’s character will go global.
John saw “an angel coming down from heaven having great authority and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice saying Babylon the great is fallen is fallen”.
The proclamation of the gospel in the context of the three angels’ messages will grow in clarity and reach until humanity is given accurate knowledge of God’s true character in contrast to the picture of God advanced upon the world by false religious systems.
This end time phase of the gospel proclamation is sometimes called the “loud cry” because it will gain a global hearing. Simultaneously the entire world system depicted symbolically as Babylon will fall.
False religion and corrupt political systems, along with the entire world economy that supports them, all will come crashing down.
Finality of Babylon’s Fall
Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore.
No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore.
For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.” Revelation 18: 21-24
“But truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord—Numbers 14: 21
“Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3
“For the earth will be filled
With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,
As the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2: 14
The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the Final Test shall be brought to bear upon man, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve him not.
The keeping of the true Sabbath in obedience to God’s law is evidence of loyalty to the Creator. While one class, by accepting the sign of submission to earthly powers, receive the mark of the beast, the other, choosing the token of allegiance to divine authority, receive the seal of God.
Those who presented the truths of the third angels’ message have often been regarded as mere alarmists. Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God, have been pronounced groundless and absurd.
The Final Events will end with the splendor of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ also known as the Parousia. The Signs of Parousia are detailed in the Final Events series and emphasize the Imminent Return and Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

But as the question of enforcing Sabbath observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved, is seen to be approaching, and the Everlasting Gospel message will produce an effect which it could not have had before.
As the storm approaches a large class who have professed faith in the third angels’ messages, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandoned their position and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters and nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easier popular side.
They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. When Sabbath keepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them. In this time of persecution, the faith of the Lord servants will be tried, they have faithfully given the warning, looking to God and to His word alone.
The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency.
A work of worldwide extent and unwanted power is here foretold. The Advent Movement of 1840-1844 was a glorious manifestation of the power of God; The first angel’s message was carried to every missionary station in the world and in some countries there was the greatest religious interest which had been witnessed in any land since the Reformation of the 16th century; but these are to be exceeded by the mighty movement under the last warning of the Third Angel.
The work will be like that of the day of Pentecost. Glorious. Powerful. Global.
The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of God than marked its opening. The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the spirit of God. The inhabitants of the earth will be brought to take their stand. GC 603-612
